Bowen and Finn Alexy, Bus ’24
Bowen and Finn Alexy serve as co-chief operating officers of their family’s precious metals refining company, Alexy Metals. In addition to leading the family business, they co-founded BowFin Capital, an angel investment firm supporting innovative startups, demonstrating their entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to fostering business growth.
Derrell Black, CECH ’14
As head coach, Derrell Black led the Aiken High School varsity boys basketball team to a remarkable 27–2 season and a Division III state runner-up finish in 2025. After 13 years of coaching, he announced his retirement, leaving behind a legacy of athletic excellence and community impact. But it was an education-related corrections job that set him on the path toward teaching and athletics leadership.
Julianne Fernandez, Bus ’17
Julianne Fernandez, a UC alumna with a master's in geology, has built a dynamic career as an atmospheric scientist, conducting research from the depths of the ocean to the South Pole. Currently based in Boulder, Colorado, she works at Scientific Aviation, Inc., where she measures methane emissions from oil and gas facilities and landfills, contributing to environmental monitoring and climate science.
Taylor Fleshman, CCM ’18
CCM alumna Taylor Fleshman joined "The President's Own" United States Marine Band as the harpist in July 2023. A Staff Sergeant in the Marine Corps., Fleshman's role as the Marine Band's harpist includes being a featured soloist when the ensemble performs at the White House and in annual concert tours across the country.
Marché Gendrew, UCBA ’09, CECH ’10
Marché Gendrew, a criminal justice graduate works as a social worker with Cradle Cincinnati at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. Marché gives presentations on clinical and institutional career options within both macro and micro social work, and also mentors students exploring the field.
Chelsea Lovelace, CECH ’14, ’22
Chelsea Lovelace, a two-time UC graduate with degrees in criminal justice and information technology, has transitioned from military and police service to a leadership role in cybersecurity. As the manager of cyber threat intelligence at RTX, she analyzes and mitigates advanced cyber threats, drawing on her extensive experience and education to protect critical infrastructure.
Ryan Rosenweig, Bus ’09, DAAP ’11
Ryan Rosensweig, a third-generation Bearcat from Clifton, Cincinnati, holds degrees in business administration and design from UC, where he served as student body president and co-founded the Alpha Epsilon Pi fraternity. As Director and Principal Program Manager of Health Alliance Innovation at Microsoft, he leads initiatives like the Trustworthy and Responsible AI Network (TRAIN), advancing ethical AI solutions in healthcare by uniting technologists and medical leaders.
Tom Tsuchiya, A&S ’95
Tom Tsuchiya, a University of Cincinnati Classics graduate, sculpted the moving bronze statue of Pete Rose diving headfirst into home plate outside Great American Ball Park—capturing the baseball legend's intensity and passion. Drawing on his UC training, this lifelong Reds fan has created notable public art across the city and nation, including works for MLB, the NFL, and Cincinnati’s tribute to civil rights pioneer Marian Spencer.
Asha White, A&S ’11, DAAP ’23
Asha White, who graduated with degrees in communications and art education, is an artist, entrepreneur and the education director at the Kennedy Heights Arts Center. She engages with students from the College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning (DAAP) and by offering co-op opportunities at both the Kennedy Heights Arts Center and her own business, Asha the Artist.
